2012 US Military Pay Charts

On February 14, 2011, President Obama proposed a minimum of a 1.6% military pay raise in his "Budget of the United States Government, Fiscal Year 2012." His proposal is based on the on the wage and salary series for private industry workers as indicated in the Employment Cost Index that was released on the last business day in October 2010. Some in congress are rumbling about a freeze of military pay to the 2011 levels; doing so means that some of the ground that was retaken over the last 10 years to close the pay gap will be lost. The pay scales below reflect the 1.6% raise.
