Walther P99
This gun became famous after being used in the Bon Jovi's movie "Tomorrow Never Dies". The Walther P99 is a semi-automatic pistol developed by the German company Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen of Ulm for law enforcement, security forces and the civilian shooting market as a replacement for the Walther P5 and the P88. The P99 and its variants are also made under license by Fabryka Broni Radom.
The P99 series offers the law enforcement professional a number of special features and various trigger mechanisms to meet the agencies needs. The line includes both full size and compact models for both uniform and undercover use.
The P99 uses an internal striker as opposed to an external hammer, with a red-painted striker tip that protrudes from rear of the slide when the gun is cocked, as well as a chamber loaded indicator on the right side of the slide. It also features four internal safeties, a decocking button, sights adjustable for both windage and elevation, tool-less takedown, accessory rail, interchangeable grip backstraps of varying sizes for different users, and an ambidextrous magazine release incorporated into the trigger guard.
The P99 Series available to offer three trigger options:
P99AS- Anti-Stress
Traditional double action and single action modes, and the added feature of the anti-stress trigger position which is engaged after reloading.
P99DAO - Double Action Only
The striker is at rest with no preload for a long smooth trigger pull. The pull is consistent in length and force from the first shot to the last.
P99QA -Quick Action
Partially preloaded striker provides a uniform short light trigger pull. This variation is a favorite among many sportsmen and police tactical units.
