PGM Hecate II

PGM Hecate II (a.k.a. FR-12,7) are made by PGM Precision company in France. It is the standard heavy sniper rifle of the French Army. Hecate II is the largest of the whole UR family rifles.




PGM Hecate II is used as an anti-materiel rifle for demolition shooting at long ranges, harassing fire, counter-sniping and the destruction of unexploded ordnance from a safe distance, with High Explosive Incendiary/Armour Piercing Ammunition (HEIAP).

Hecate II rifle utilise 'metallic skeleton' design similar to other UR rifles (scaled up, of cause) with solid machined receiver and free floating precision made fluted barrel, fitted with huge muzzle brake/compensator. Bolt locks into receiver with three forward-located lugs, and has overpressure vents to secure the shooter from powder gases in the case of the cartridge case rupture.
